FAQs for translators

mt-g prefers to work with freelance translators, but agencies specializing in a limited number of target languages and in medicine are also welcome. Please apply via the Online Translator Recruitment tool. We are also interested in qualified interpreters and medical writers.

  • Training and/or degree in the field of medicine (nursing staff, doctors, dentists, etc.) with many years of documented experience as a translator or
  • Training and/or degree in the field of natural sciences (biology, chemistry, engineering, medical technology) with many years of documented experience as a translator or
  • Degree in languages and/or translation studies with many years of documented experience in the medical sector.

Priority will be given to applications from translators with experience in Trados Studio or Across. Translators interested in learning how to work with one of the systems are also encouraged to apply. We can provide you with technical support.

The application will be checked by our Vendor Management team. If we have a need for the applicant's language pair and all the requirements for working together have been met, a brief qualification process will take place (including a test translation, contract management and non-disclosure agreement).

We are always interested in performing the qualification procedure for new, experienced translators, reviewers/proofreaders, and post-editors specializing in the medical and pharmaceutical field. To start your qualification process, please complete the following questions. It will take about 15 minutes to complete our online application form.

Our Vendor Management team will contact you once we have completed a thorough review of your application. The personal data collected within the context of this questionnaire will be used exclusively for the purpose of the qualification procedure. It will be stored and processed in accordance with German data protection regulations. Your data will not be made available to third parties without your consent. Your data will not be processed or used for advertising or market research purposes.
